Viewing "Ellery Grain" from the stream you have to cross .
Picking up the path at the loan you cross the stile and follow the fence along till you reach the forest , here you head down towards the White Lyne, just before the stream you cross a little beck on your RH side. From here you pick up the little markers and these lead you along the stream and in and out of the forest until you reach a point where you have to cross the stream. then heading up the hill in front of you (Ellery Grain pictured top.) from here you are climbing fairly quickly crossing 2 forest tracks before reaching the fence line (Galwegian Fosse) . Here is a good place to rest as there are some boulders to sit on. Now you just follow the fence line up till you reach Christianbury Crags.. Here you will have magnificant views over the Lakes, Solway , Scotland and Northumberland. You can also view Sighty Crag, The Long Bar and Long Crag..
